Step 05 - Il colore Pervinca nella musica

Wordsworth
I heard a thousand blended notes,
While in a grove I sate reclined,
In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts
Bring sad thoughts to the mind.
To her fair works did Nature link
The human soul that through me ran;
And much it grieved my heart to think
What man has made of man.

  Through prirose tufts, in that green bower,
 The periwinkle trailed its wreaths;
 And ‘tis my faith that every flower
Enjoys the air it breathes.
The birds around me hopped and played,
Coleridge
Their thoughts I cannot measure:-
But the least motion which they made
It seemed a thrill of pleasure.
The budding twigs spread out their fan,
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can,
That there was pleasure there.
If this belief from heaven be sent,
If such be Nature’s holy plan,
Have I not reason to lament
    What man has made of man?

"Pervinca Blue" è una delicata canzone qui sembra quasi di essere una melodia classica.
E 'stato scritto da Paul Francis Webster e Jay Livingston.

I prefer my flowers, tall & more cheerful
Yellow, red & fuchsia, optimistic & bright!
Roses, gladiolas, and rhododendrons
Variety is what I crave in colour & height
Periwinkle blue just doesn’t endure
It isn’t exotic- it’s lost its allure!
Always small and fickle, moody and blue
D’ya know why I loathe it?
It reminds me of you
I want diff’rent blossoms right through the season
I’m planting my new garden, just as I like
I don’t want your flowers, they make me tearful
So keep your periwinkle blues right out of my sight.
Your Periwinkle blues I will not endure
They're just too neurotic, too dark and obscure
Living with you in the shade and the weeds
It’s not about growing, it’s all about needs – Yours!
I want diff’rent flowers now and forever
I’m planting for MY future, just what I like
Pull out all your flowers, this is MY BED now
So grab your rake – you dirty louse
& Take a hike!
Remove your gard’ning tools – you jerk
& Take a hike!
Go grab your stinking gard’ning gloves
& Take a hike!
Right off a cliff!
